I don’t know about you, but having good skin is something I really strive for. Whilst the key to perfect skin is skin care, not everyone is blessed with perfect skin all the time (myself certainly not included) so it’s nice to have makeup there to lean on to help get that flawless finish.
There are so many foundations on the market right now, from low end to high end, lightweight to full coverage, dry-normal-oily skin foundations, powder, liquid, stick foundations……I’ve tried more than my fair share of foundations, and have yet to find my holiest of grails but I’ve come pretty close. This is a post of the tried and true, the crème de la crème of skin disguising paint.
I’m someone who believes that makeup should enhance your natural features which is why Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturiser is a game-changer.
With light to medium coverage, by providing a sheer layer that covers any redness and blurs out any blemishes that you may have, this ‘foundation’ is something that allows your natural skin to shine through -it’s like a snapchat filter for your skin in real time.
Whats more? It’s light, breathable, long lasting and flawless.
This foundation is perfect for every day wear with medium to full coverage that’s easily buildable. It’s a whopping SPF 50 yet you don’t need to worry about it looking white in photos. Not only that, but this CC cream has properties which actually can help improve your skin while you’re wearing it.
Nothing better than looking great, guilt free.
You’ve probably heard loads of good stuff about this baby, and trust me, it’s true. I’ve been using this foundation for years now, and I’ve yet to find one to surpass it.
It’s good for normal skin, doesn’t cling to dry skin, it might be a bit too dewy for oily skin but nothing a bit of powder can’t fix. Wide range of skin tones for both warm and cool.
This bottle of liquid gold, melts into your skin to give you the most flawless of flawless coverage. Surprisingly lightweight but with medium to full coverage; it’s my go to for any event. Plus, it’s SPF free so no need to worry about any white cast in photos.
There you have it! My top 3 foundations! Do you swear by anything else? Comment and let me know ^_^
